THE STONE HOUSE
The Stone House is a lovingly-restored 18th-century aristocratic mansion set atop a hillside immediately overlooking the breathtaking, historic Hydra harbor. A hand-hewn stone wall encloses the main house, a guest cottage, and a series of private gardens and terraces, all with fabulous views to the sea, village and mountains.
Decorated with original artwork and carefully furnished with
antiques and cozy chairs, this private compound sleeps seven and is
perfect for a couple's romantic getaway or a family's summer vacation.

The sweeping master suite
of fabulous high-ceiling proportions contains a writing desk, reading
chairs, and a completely renovated ensuite bathroom, including a

iPod speaker dock, washer and dryer, three fireplaces and weekly maid
service.
Exterior Details
The hand-hewn stone wall surrounding the property encloses the main
house, the guest cottage, and a series of terraces and gardens.
The internal courtyard and upper terrace (on top of the guest cottage) each have marble dining tables and spectacular one-of-a-kind views that span the sea, the port, and the inland mountains. There’s also an outdoor shower under a scarlet bougainvillea.
Location
The hillside where the property is located is incredibly peaceful, and
the compound is very private, but within minutes you can be shopping or
clubbing in the village, or swimming in the nearby azure swimming coves.
A short walk down one set of the island's many cobblestone
staircases places you in the heart of the port. A path through a pine
grove brings you to swimming areas and coastal walking paths.
Please bear in mind that visitors to Hydra are required to climb stairs, so the Stone House is not suitable for anyone unable to do so.
